1869 The roots of the business began when Christian Frautschi started the
C. Frautschi and Son Funeral Home on King Street.
1977 The Frautschi family sold the business to Bob and Hazel Cress. The business was then located
on Speedway Road.
1986 Purchased the Schroeder Funeral Home on East Washington Avenue and became Schroeder-Cress.
1992 The Olson-Holzhuter-Cress Funeral Homes in Stoughton, McFarland, and Deerfield, were
purchased from Paul Olson and Dale Holzhuter.
1997 Acquired Fitch-Lawrence-Sanfillippo-Cress Funeral Home on University Avenue.
