May 1, 1850 cornerstone laid for Dane County Courthouse. It opens in Spring 1851.
2nd Courthouse - 200 block W. Main St. (Same site as first) Built 1885 - Demolished 1958
Designed by Henry C. Koch of Milwaukee who designed Science Hall the same year.
