Harry Berge, a factory worker in Stoughton, was killed at Christmas in 1977. Originally it was
determined Berge died of “massive blunt force trauma to his head and body”. After cyanide was found
in
Gerald Davies body a re-examination of Berge's organs
showed he died from a cyanide level 37 times the lethal dosage.
Barbara Hoffman was tried for the murders of Berge and
Davies. She was convicted of murdering Berge, but acquitted of murdering Davies.
