Deaths of a 3-yo and 4-yo boys found dead in a parked car near Covance clinical research laboratory, 3402 Kinsman Blvd. The boyfriend of the children's mother, David Hoem, turned himself in. Involved a knife at the Moorland Road apartment that the mother and boyfriend shared. David J. Hoem (28) David J. Hoem, 28, turned himself in at the East District police station around 1 a.m. on Wednesday at the urging of family members who were in contact with him via cell phone Based on security camera footage, police believe the boys were killed in the parking lot of Covance, a drug development services company at 3402 Kinsman Blvd., at about 7 p.m. on Tuesday “This is a case that began with domestic violence between the suspect and the boys’ mother. It ended with the victims who were found inside of a parked car this morning.” Hoem turned himself in to police shortly before 1 a.m. on Wednesday but did not have the children. The officer spotted a gray Volvo at 2:39 a.m. parked in the Covance lot, near the intersection of Wright Street and Kinsman Boulevard. When he approached the car, he saw a body in the back seat and discovered the body of a second child after forcing his way into the vehicle, Balles said.
