Harvey Pierce shoots his former girlfriend, Robin Kerl, and her fiancée,
David Jones, in the parking
lot of the west side Wal-Mart, then turns the gun on himself. He and Jones died. Kerl has never
recovered fully, suffering permanent mental and physical disabilities.
Pierce had Huber work-release privileges with his one-year jail sentence for raping a woman. He bought
the gun from a co-worker at a nearby Arby's and left work early.
