• Some people have claimed to get an uneasy feeling, like being watched, when they walk through the park.

Possible Connections

• The block Orton Park is located on (Block 180) at one time was Madison's first municipal cemetery. Established in 1846 and used for 246 burials. They started removing bodies in September 1859 to be reinterred in the new cemetery, Forest Hill. Eventually all the bodies were removed, or were they? Were some left behind?
