Walter J. Urben House Built 1932 Tudor Revival
The Urben House, built in 1932 when Mendota was overseen by a superintendent, usually a
psychiatrist, who lived on the grounds with his or her family. Today the home primarily serves as a
meeting place for staff, but it is be decorated with historical artifacts pertaining to the institute.
