Charlie Mohr was a middleweight boxer for the University of Wisconsin.
On April 9, 1960, after an NCAA Tournament bout at the
Field House, he layed down complaining of a headache. He fell
into convulsions and then a coma, dying eight days later on Easter Sunday of a brain hemorrhage.
Twenty-two days after Mohr's death the University of Wisconsin dropped boxing as a sport.
