Flad Avenue - Orchard Ridge

Named after the Flad family. Where John J. Flad, the Madison developer, grew up. His grandfather had a farm in the area, and he donated the land that became the site of St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church.

The senior Flad also opened an architectural firm that Flad's father, Joseph, and his uncle, Thomas, continued. John didn't start his Madison business until 1975.

Flad Development is an entirely separate corporation from Flad & Associates, which his dad runs. They do their architectural work however.
