Camp Wakanda

A YMCA camp for boys from all over the Midwest from 1919 through the 1970s. Michael Olbrich gave the land to the YMCA in honor of his brother Emil, who drowned while swimming in Lake Mendota off Picnic Point. Now a part of Governor Nelson State Park. Native American conical mounds and water sprite effigy mounds.
