Madison Gas and Electric’s warm water discharge is a thermal attractant for fish. Large schools of bluegills, crappies and other fish can be seen adjacent to the shoreline. This popular fishing area also attracts top predator fish that come to dine on the abundant forage fish. It is not uncommon to see dozens of muskies in the three-to-four foot range milling about the outfall. Be careful of the strong current here.
