One of architect Ferdinand Kronenberg’s finest designs, this graceful red brick Federal
Revival style house was built in 1922-1923 for William G. Schumaker and Joseph and
Amelia Bollenbeck. Schumaker was a shoe merchant and his sister, Amelia, was
married to Joseph Bollenbeck who was also in the shoe business and also worked as a
wholesale cigar dealer.
