This house was built as an investment in 1897, one year after the house next door. It
was built by bookbinder Gottlieb Grimm and is a fairly intact example of the turn-ofthe-
century Queen Anne houses in Madison. Jim Draeger believes that Madison has
more than its share of Queen Anne houses with corner turrets.
